A Conversation: Lorser Feitelson and Stanton Macdonald-Wright

On January 19, 1957, Stanton Macdonald-Wright appeared on the first color episode of Lorser Feitelson’s Feitelson on Art. The lively conversation between the two artists can be heard in the audio recording below. In the video below the recording, titled “A Conversation: Stanton Macdonald-Wright and Lorser Feitelson,” the two artists’ importance to and influence on the Los Angeles art scene and their relationship to one another throughout their careers is explained through archival documents. We have also included images of Macdonald-Wright’s artworks. Since we do not have access to the visual recording of this Feitelson on Art episode, we cannot confirm the specific artworks the artists discuss.

Thank you to the Estate of Jean Macdonald-Wright and the various institutions and collectors listed within the video for allowing us to use images of Stanton Macdonald-Wright’s artworks.
